The Ballpark Side of Downtown Summerlin: What's New Near The Ridges This Holiday Season

October 15, 2026

Wolfgang Puck Player's Locker closed at 10955 Oval Park Drive in July 2023. On Sept. 21, 2026, Finney's Crafthouse opened in the same space. It is the first location the Southern California tavern group has opened outside its home state.

That opening is the first in a series. Next comes a lighted maze inside Las Vegas Ballpark from late November, then a public skate calendar at City National Arena, and in early 2027 a large new gym on Summa Drive. Taken together, the end of Downtown Summerlin that's a few minutes from The Ridges has something dated on the calendar every month between now and that gym's opening. This guide follows that sequence in order.

The Corner Starts With a Tavern

Finney's Crafthouse is a group of 16 neighborhood taverns from Central and Southern California. Brothers Greg and Brad Finefrock founded it in 2016 and still own and run it. The name comes from a high school nickname, because the family name is pronounced "finney-frock." The Las Vegas Review-Journal's Neon section first reported the Summerlin opening in January, then confirmed the opening date in September.

The room is big for a tavern: about 5,400 square feet inside, plus a dog-friendly terrace of about 2,400 square feet. It seats 245 across the dining room, bar, and terrace, and has 20 HD televisions. The finishes are reclaimed wood, vintage brick, and antique copper accents.

The menu keeps things simple:

  • Gary's oval pepperoni pizza with cupped pepperoni
  • A burger with Japanese wagyu ribeye, pepper jack, bacon, crisp onions, steak sauce, and mustard aïoli
  • A bison burger, steak fajitas, and a Norwegian salmon sandwich
  • A Southwest chicken bowl, a Cobb salad, and hot wings
  • 30 rotating craft beers on tap from local and regional breweries, plus signature cocktails like the Raspberry Smash, made with Tito's vodka, prosecco, lemon, and raspberries

The terrace matters most for the rest of this calendar. A 2,400-square-foot patio that allows dogs sits steps from the ballpark. That makes Finney's the obvious place to meet before an Enchant entry time or to warm up after skating.

October Fills the Gap Before the Lights

Downtown Summerlin's free Parade of Mischief runs at 6 p.m. along Park Centre Drive. It is an eight-night Halloween run, and four nights are left as of today: Oct. 16, 17, 23, and 24.

The more useful October date for the ballpark end is a Tuesday. On Oct. 20, from 6 to 7 p.m., Downtown Summerlin is hosting "Train Together: A Municipal Community Workout" on The Lawn. It's a free preview of Municipal Gym, the club that will open nearby. This is the first public look at the last piece of the sequence, months before the doors open.

From Nov. 20, the Ballpark Becomes the Event

Enchant returns to Las Vegas Ballpark from Nov. 20 through Dec. 27, 2026. FOX5 reported in June that this year's maze brings back "The Great Search" storyline, rebuilt with new light sculptures, settings, and pathways. The same report lists an Ice Skating Trail, Santa and Mrs. Claus, a Snow Slide Adventure, live entertainment, the Enchant's Village marketplace, and seasonal food and drink.

General admission starts at $27, and Enchant says pricing depends on the date, the entry time, and demand. When the ticket calendar was checked, starting prices ran from $27 to $39. If you're flexible on dates, that $12 spread between the cheapest and most expensive starting prices is worth checking before you pick a night.

Several dates on the calendar have their own programming:

Date Enchant special event
Fri., Nov. 20 Opening Night Celebration
Sun., Nov. 22 Family Photo Night Out, presented by Navy Federal Credit Union
Wed., Nov. 25 Friendsgiving
Wed., Dec. 2 Country Christmas and Line Dancing
Sun., Dec. 6 Paws & Claus
Thu., Dec. 10 Night of Honor, presented by Country Financial

Paws & Claus on Dec. 6 pairs well with the dog-friendly terrace at Finney's a short walk away. Friendsgiving lands on the night before Thanksgiving, which works if you have family flying in and want a plan for the evening they arrive.

Enchant has not posted daily operating hours on its event page, ticket pages, or in the FOX5 coverage reviewed here. Confirm entry times when you book.

The Rink Next Door Charges Less Than the Maze

City National Arena also runs public skating on the ballpark side, separate from the Enchant trail. Open skate costs $10 per guest, $7 for military with ID, and skate rental is $3 more. A skater with rentals pays $13. That's less than the lowest Enchant general admission price, so the arena is the lower-cost choice for families who come mainly to skate.

The arena's posted calendar lists November sessions on Nov. 1, 21, and 22, each from 10:50 to 11:50 a.m. Nov. 21 and 22 are the first weekend of Enchant. That makes for an easy day close to home: skate in the morning, lunch on the Finney's terrace, then an Enchant entry after dark. The December calendar showed no sessions when it was checked, and the arena updates its monthly schedules online.

What's Next, and What Hasn't Been Announced

Municipal Gym is the last piece. It will take 32,000 square feet at 2315 Summa Dr., inside the Downtown Summerlin shopping center, with its own open parking lot for members. In April, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Mark Wahlberg's new gym would open "this winter." The gym's own FAQ now gives the opening as early 2027, with an exact date still to come. The later date is the current one. The Oct. 20 workout on The Lawn is the only Municipal event with a confirmed date this year.

The usual Downtown Summerlin holiday schedule is still unannounced. As of today, the official events page lists the Parade of Mischief, the Festival of Arts that ran Oct. 9 through 11, and the Municipal workout. It shows no 2026 dates yet for a tree lighting, the holiday parade, or the Rock Rink. Last year's schedule had the Holiday Parade running Nov. 21 through Dec. 20 and the Rock Rink open Nov. 14 through Jan. 19. Those were 2025 dates, and this year's should be confirmed on Downtown Summerlin's events page before you plan around them.

The Calendar, Start to Finish

  1. Now: Finney's Crafthouse is open at 10955 Oval Park Drive.
  2. Oct. 16, 17, 23, 24: Parade of Mischief, 6 p.m., Park Centre Drive.
  3. Oct. 20: Train Together, the free Municipal Gym preview, 6 to 7 p.m. on The Lawn.
  4. Nov. 1, 21, 22: City National Arena public skate, 10:50 to 11:50 a.m.
  5. Nov. 20 through Dec. 27: Enchant at Las Vegas Ballpark, with special-event nights through Dec. 10.
  6. Early 2027: Municipal Gym opens at 2315 Summa Dr.

The corner where Player's Locker closed in 2023 now has a tavern with a dog-friendly terrace, a stadium filled with lights for 38 nights, a $10 skate session next door, and a gym with a confirmed address.
